Friday evening:
Arrival in Beaune, capital of Burgundy Wines and check-in at the hotel Tulip Inn Athanor 3***, former 16th century dwelling house, recently refitted, which lies opposite the Basilica of Notre-Dame, in the heart of the historic centre of Beaune. A Burgundy reception cocktail and presentation of the weekend in our 12th century Cistercian storeroom.
Saturday:
In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, you will discover the town of Beaune and visit the famous Hospices de Beaune, a masterpiece of Burgundian architecture (1443). Free time for shopping. Gourmet lunch at the Abbaye de Maizières. After lunch, departure for your first safari through the typical villages of Côte de Beaune, where you will discover Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, and their Grands Crus, accompanied by a specialist on vineyards and wines. Visit to a vat-house and comparative wine tasting.
Return to Beaune. Gastronomic dinner.
Sunday:
In the morning a visit to the Wine Museum is available to you at 11.00am. Discover the history of the vineyards and the work of the wine-grower, from Ancient times to today. Gourmet lunch. After lunch, a second safari, in which, this time, you will discover the world-famed “Kings” of wines, Côte de Nuits, la Tâche, Romanée-Conti, Richebourg, Clos Vougeot and its castle, Musigny, Chambertin… Visit to a vat-house and wine tasting. Return to Beaune. Free time. Gourmet dinner.
Monday:
After breakfast, you still have some time left to make your last purchases before leaving Burgundy and returning home. We hope to see you again very soon.
